Persis Solutions Ltd

The founders of Persis Solutions Ltd have previously worked in a variety of Financial Institutions using Excel (for better or worse). Their experience has led to their establishment of Persis Solutions and the development of PersisTables Toolkit. PersisTables Toolkit is a package of functions that can be used unobtrusively within existing spreadsheets to secure data and share information across Excel workbooks. It also enables effective auditing and testing of spreadsheets and their ongoing operation. This is achieved without compromising the flexibility of Excel being used for prototyping.

Founders

Persis Solutions was founded by Tim Allen and Peter Clark in 2015.

Tim Allen (COO)

Tim worked in a variety of Front Office and Middle Office roles in the derivatives markets from 1984 to 2009. Latterly he concentrated on counterparty risk and related issues.

Tim was the architect of an innovative counterparty risk system successfully implemented at a major financial institution. He co-founded Persis Solutions Limited with Peter Clark in 2015.

Peter Clark (CTO)

A long standing technologist, Peter has worked in Front Office Quantitative and Development roles at a series of major Investment Banks. Specialising in complex derivatives his particular interest has been in removing the hurdles to delivery.

An advocate of Agile development and DevOps processes since before the terms were invented his proudest achievement was to deliver a fully productionised version of a Ratchet Range Accrual TARN (whatever that is) into use within 3 days of the Quants delivering the model.

A love-hate relationship with Excel led him to build the PersisTables toolkit as a mechanism to allow complex data sets to be captured through Excel but without the dangers associated with data resident within Excel workbooks.

End User Computing

Both Tim and Peter have had extensive experience of EUC development and use (both good and bad) in a variety of major banks.
