We all know that EUC is not a strategic solution for managing business critical software. We also know that migrating to an IT-built solution often results in loss of functionality and an inability to modify behaviour as business conditions change.

If a complex EUC is reduced to a workflow of simpler steps as described here then it becomes possible to hand over parts of the settled functionality to an IT solution without losing the ability to innovate in areas still subject to changes dependent on business requirements.

Step 2 is now implemented as a standard IT component but changes can be made to Step 1 & 3 by business as required

The PersisTables Toolkit can be provided in the form of an SDK allowing IT to integrate the data directly into their applications. By using the Toolkit SDK for input and output they guarantee that the data can continue to be supplied and consumed by the Excel-based EUC.
