Installation Guide

Thanks for giving PersisTables a try.

First select the install package you require, choose the 32 bit package if you have Excel installed as a 32 bit application or the 64 bit package if you have installed Excel as a 64 bit application; see here for details on how to determine which version of Excel is installed.

Download the package – you may find you need to persuade your anti-virus software to allow it to download. The package is a self installing zip file, which will open by double clicking on the downloaded file. It will automatically run the installation process and register PersisTables with Excel for the user who installed it. To enable other users to access the PersisTables toolkit they will need to register the xltable.xll and table_xla.xlam with Excel manually. These are found in the PersisTables installation directories.

If you have administrator privileges on the machine then installation is straightforward, double click on the relevant PersisTables<xx>.exe (where <xx> is 32 or 64 depending on the Excel installation architecture) and follow the instructions.

After that, open Excel and start using PersisTables.

For those who do not have admin privileges on the machine, contact us for a non-administrator installation package.
